Karla-Sofia Zapata-Garcia

          In my junior fall at MIT I took the class 21M.380 Music and Technology. This class taught a variety of things, from sound waves and reverberation to types of microphones, as well as audio recording and mixing techniques. Part of the class included running a recording session, which included making a stage plan of what mic would go where for what instrument. Once several takes were recorded in a session, I would mix the audio in Cockos Reaper, adding EQ and filters to improve sound and creating a stereo image with the instruments.
