          In my freshman spring at MIT I took the class 4.301 Intro to Visual Arts. For this project we were to create a piece that related to the body, so I created these Headphones that affect your hearing. While wearing these with larger part facing behind you, it is difficult to hear a person standing directly in front of you. However, if stand on the opposite side of a room from someone, have your back towards them, and have the person whisper, you can hear the person as if they are speaking directly into your ear.

          The headphones are made of foamcore and a foam headband.
